I have taught Literature and Culture at the Department of English, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan for over eighteen years now. My core specialisation is Early Modern British and European Literature with special reference to War and the City. However, my miscellaneous ancillary research interests include Tagore, literature and the other arts, ethnography, travel and the city. I am also a published translator. In my leisure I sing, doodle and write poetry.
